The COPRAS program (*) for Blood Donor Drives combines the following:

• Multilingual welcome and sign-in
• Hema-Quebec donor identification, registration and screening process
• Blood donation
• Optional prevention-focus health check (*) by Doctor and Student Nurses
• Personal health snapshot (*)
• Optional blood analysis (*) results (T4, PSA, AC-Glu, CBC, TSH, etc.) sent to donor by mail
• Health tips (*) in conversation before and after blood donation
• Certified photo of donor (*) as a thank you

The para-medical services proposed to potential Donors will include information and tests related to topics such as Diabetes, Heart Disease, Nutrition, Medication/Immunization, STI, etc.  COPRAS will hand out a Records booklet to the people who come to give blood and qualified volunteers will record personal data in it.  COPRAS also plans presentations with Questions & Answers time on these subjects, aimed particularly at the Italian community participants.  COPRAS will work in collaboration with student nurses, CLSC's and Santa Cabrini to accomplish the proposed activity.

COPRAS has identified "Vendemmia Italiana" as the channel to promote within the Italian Community a prevention program integrated with Blood Drives involving grass-root participation from local associations.
